When A'mano opened its doors in 1998, no one had any idea how popular it would be nine years later.  We believe this unprecedented growth is due to a company whose goal is to offer the most unique hand made products in a convenient and caring atmosphere.

Our vision at A'mano is to showcase one of a kind items from local artists right here in Birmingham, Alabama and the surrounding area.  We have an excellent reputation within the local artist community for promoting their artwork and helping to get their name and artworks out into the community.  In addition to this we have work from artists all over the United States and world.  And because A'mano is not a strict painting gallery, we are free to sell all kinds of art, and we do!  From glass to pottery to furniture to wearable art, we have a wide assortment of unique and colorful gifts that would cater to every taste.

Also, for customer convenience we include a short artist biography with every purchase.  Not only do we proudly carry an exceptional collection of art, we are also very proud of our devoted staff.  They are friendly and knowledgeable, many with an undergraduate degree in art history or are artists themselves, who want to make your shopping experience easier and more fun.  We hope that their hospitality spills over onto the website which is why we have made it easy and enjoyable to navigate.

Another perk of shopping with A'mano is our gift wrapping.  Our wonderful staff is well trained in the art of gift wrap and we have even adapted our own unique spin on the traditional style that is colorful and fun.
